COVID-19 Measures for Tourism in Puerto Peñasco

We hope you are well. For our part at Laguna Shores Resort, we have been working to welcome you back, always taking care of you, ensuring you have a great time and feel protected. The intention is that we all take great care of ourselves while enjoying the resort and our beautiful Puerto Peñasco.

Preventive Measures at Laguna Shores Resort:

• Pools operating at 40% capacity
• Restaurant operating at 40% capacity with hours from 8 AM to 9 PM
• Beach open for walking on the sand, but closed for swimming (Until August 1st tentatively)
• Disinfection and Sanitization of condos before and after use with a fogging machine
• Mandatory use of face masks in public areas (Except when swimming in the pools)
• Maintain a distance of at least 1.5M from other people
• Avoid handshakes/kisses when greeting others
• Wash hands with soap and water regularly
• Disinfect with antibacterial gel
• Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing with the inside of your elbow
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
• Disinfect objects you use frequently

Procedure to Enter Puerto Peñasco:

• It is very important that all guests are registered with their full name at the time of making a reservation by phone.
• Before arriving in Puerto Peñasco via the Sonoyta highway (Federal Highway 8) you will encounter the access point. If you are coming via the Puerto Peñasco - Golfo de Santa Clara highway, you will find a detour that will take you to the access point.
• Everyone must present their current identification.
• Personnel from the Puerto Peñasco Convention Office will request identification and will be in charge of verifying that you are authorized by the resort to enter the city.
• Marina and National Guard personnel will record the vehicle's data.
• The temperature of all passengers will be taken. If everyone has a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius, they will be allowed access.
• If any passenger presents a higher temperature, a second test will be done with a digital thermometer.
• If a higher temperature is presented a second time, they will be invited to take a rapid Covid-19 test, which yields a result in 15 minutes. If the passenger refuses, all passengers will be denied access to the city. If they accept the test, depending on the result, access will be allowed.

Restrictions and Preventive Measures Implemented by the Local Government:

40% CAPACITY IN RESTAURANTS only, following the Covid-19 sanitary and hygienic protocols. Tip: make a prior reservation.

10:00 PM IS THE CURFEW and at this time of day all residents must be in their homes and hotels. Tip: equip yourself in advance with everything necessary to be comfortably sheltered.

BARS AND NIGHTCLUBS are not open at the moment. Tip: you can enjoy your preferred drink in the comfort of your condo. Please note that alcohol sales end at 6 pm.

JET SKIS AND KAYAKS are not permitted as access to the sea is not allowed. Tip: book a guided kayak tour to San Jorge Island for your next visit.

ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES, ATV'S AND RZR are limited to one person per ATV and a maximum of two people per RZR vehicle. All with appropriate safety measures.

ACCESS TO THE SEA is prohibited, only the use and enjoyment of the federally concessioned areas of each workplace (beach, sand) is allowed. Tip: Enjoy the beach while always maintaining distance from others.

A distance of 1.5 METERS must be respected at all times, and the use of face masks in public places is also mandatory.

COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS only allow access to one person per group, and it is recommended not to travel with children under 12 years of age and people over 65 years of age.
