Living at Laguna Shores Resort vs. other Master Planned Communities in Rocky Point, Mexico
Laguna Shores Resort is a master planned community that faces the Sea of Cortez; it is sided by a pristine estuary teeming with wildlife, and surrounded by the beautiful Sonoran Desert. It is located off of the Coastal Highway, just a few minutes from the pulse of Rocky Point. The lifestyle at Laguna Shores Resort is perfect for everyone: young families; families with teenagers; empty-nesters; baby boomers; retirees; active seniors; couples – young and elder; and everyone that doesn’t fall into a specific category.
And the pace at Laguna Shores is what you want it to be whether its days filled with exercise and activities or days filled with relaxation. Add to all that a 5,000 sq. ft. Trophy Pool with palapa bar, ocean side cabana beds, kayaks, bicycles, a cigar bar, a gym, spa, game room, tennis and basketball court and miniature golf, and there is no other master planned community in Rocky Point that even comes close to Laguna Shores Resort. Sure, there are a few master planned beachfront communities that can boast some of the above, but none better than Laguna Shores. Then add, to this long laundry list of amenities, our own desal plant, underground utilities, paver stone streets, street lamps and low density living well, Laguna Shores beats everyone else hands down.
So why haven’t you been out to take a look at Laguna Shores? Sure, I know that every development is not right for everyone: some like to be right in the meat of the city; some like to be in high rise condos where lots of people congregate; and some like the ocean near at all times even during extreme low tide, but these are things that become non-issues when you spend a few days here at Laguna Shores Resort. Never will this community be dotted with high rise condo buildings teeming with people and the other two issues are really non-issues once you spend a few days out here.
True, you may have to be a little creative on those extreme low tide days, but I welcome those days as they bring new opportunities and being a bit farther from town is a Godsend on busy weekends, or weekends for that matter since Rocky Point is becoming busier and busier. I absolutely love living at Laguna Shores Resort and since I don’t have to drive into work every day I don’t mind being a bit farther from town. And with the extension of the Coastal Highway (to Sandy Beach) my town trips are made even shorter. I like the quiet that living here affords me. I don’t have to listen to music blasting from speakers atop cars or the constant noise from traffic.
When my neighbors want to rearrange their furniture, have a party or fight – go for it – I don’t hear a thing. It’s fantastic. If I want noise and action I can head on down to the pool area and palapa bar and get all the noise and social activity I want. I love that I can hear the ocean waves at any time of the day and the squawking or sing-song of the birds (depending on the bird – crows aren’t my fave) and if I want to know what my neighbors are up to I have to actually walk over to their house to find out. Absolutely fantastic, but then again, I treasure my privacy and quiet time. Amongst the many things I like about living here two would be that I can enjoy the wonderful sound of nothing or everything and either one is just a few hundred yards from one another. M y home and patio are wonderful and peaceful and places I like to spend all of my time, but the odd chance I want to make some noise I just hop on over to the pool area where I can chat up residents and visitors. It is just the best of both worlds.
