Laguna Shores Oceanfront Resort is constantly working to improve the experience their visitors have when they stay at the resort and that includes adding more fun and family fun things to do. The resort has recently acquired 2 new SUP’s by the California Board Company. For those who aren’t familiar with the acronym SUP it means stand up paddleboard. And if you’re not familiar with SUP then chances are you have not tried out paddleboarding. No worries, these boards which measure 10’6”, are great for beginners and hold up to 275 lbs., which means that more than one person can use each board so families can have fun together.
Paddleboarding is good exercise and extremely fun for the entire family. Since the Sea of Cortez is relatively calm, paddleboards are perfect for cruising the coastline. The paddleboards are stable and once you master standing up you will be travelling fast along the water. They are great for beginners and are also a good ride for the more experienced paddleboarder. The paddleboards perform great in calm water and even handle moderate chop for those breezy Rocky Point days. Paddleboarding is yet another fun thing to do at Laguna Shores Oceanfront Resort and the boards are free of charge for renters. So next time you’re at the resort grab a board and head out to the ocean for a great day of cruising.
